Cylinder head

The cylinder head is an essential part of the internal combustion engine and is located on top of the engine block. Its crucial function is to seal the cylinders, in which the fuel-air mixture is compressed and ignited. Between the cylinder head and the engine block, the head gasket provides a complete seal and prevents leaks between these vital components.

When problems occur with the cylinder head, such as cracks, leaks or other damage, it may need to be replaced.

While replacing the cylinder head, the head gasket is often also renewed. This ensures a reliable seal between the cylinder head and the engine block.

When installing the new cylinder head, accuracy is key. Tightening the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications is essential to ensure a good seal and optimum performance.
