YANMAR

Yanmar Corporation is a Japanese company specializing in the manufacturing of diesel engines, agricultural and construction machinery, generators, and other technical equipment. Yanmar was founded in 1912 in Osaka, Japan, under the name Yamaoka Hatsudoki Kosakusho by Magokichi Yamaoka. In 1921, the company was renamed Yanmar Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. The first diesel engine was produced in 1933, the HB model engine. In the post-war period, they introduced innovative agricultural machinery, such as the compact tractor. Prominent series of Yanmar include the 4TNV Series, which consists of four-cylinder diesel engines, and the 3TNV Series, which are three-cylinder diesel engines primarily used in compact construction machinery. They have also produced various engines (2YM) for small boats and pleasure craft.
