Cummins 6BT

The Cummins 6BT is a 6-cylinder inline engine with a displacement of 5.9 liters. The engine has mechanical fuel injection and delivers power between 120 and 215 hp at speeds up to 2800 rpm.

The 6BT is used in light trucks (e.g., Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500), agricultural tractors (e.g., Case IH, John Deere), excavators (e.g., Komatsu PC series), wheel loaders, industrial generators, compressors, and forklifts. The engine is also found in marine applications and forestry machinery.

Compared to the Cummins 6CT (8.3 liters), the 6BT is smaller, suitable for higher speeds, and designed for lighter applications. The 6CT delivers more power and torque and is used in medium- to heavy-duty vehicles and installations.
