The Isuzu 3CJ1 is a three-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine with a displacement of one liter and a bore and stroke of 74 by 77 millimeters. Depending on the model, the engine produces 8.8 kW at 1800 rpm or 14.2 kW at 3000 rpm. The 3CJ1 is a naturally aspirated engine with a 12-volt electrical system, glow ignition, and a self-priming fuel pump.
