The 4G63/G63B engine has a bore x stroke of 85 mm × 88 mm (3.35 in × 3.46 in). Power varies, for example, the turbocharged "Cyclone Dash" originally delivered 200 PS (later revised to 170 PS), while later Evolution models reached 202 kW (271 bhp). The engine has a capacity of 2.0 liters.
